History of C Language

FORTRAN and COBOL was developed by ALGOL-60 but these languages do not marketed because it was too specific and general.
In 1963 another language was developed which was named as CPL (combined programming language ) which was big and hard to learn.it was developed in the Cambridge university.
In 1967 BCPL (basic combined programming language ) was developed it was also developed by Cambridge university but it was also too specific.
In 1970 Ken Thompson at AT & T's at Bell labs developed B language.
In 1972 C-language was developed by Dennis Richie and this language was very good in all the aspects.
